ACCJC Substantive Change Committee Approves Coastline Community College’s Five CBE Proposals
Coastline Community College is pleased to announce that the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) Substantive Change Committee has completed its review of Coastline’s five proposals for Competency-Based Education (CBE) and has approved all submissions.
The Committee’s decision marks a significant milestone in Coastline’s ongoing commitment to expanding flexible, student-centered learning pathways that support diverse learner needs and improve access to higher education.
“The ACCJC Substantive Change Committee met to review Coastline's 5 proposals for CBE and approved them all,” said Dr. Aeron Zentner, Accreditation Liaison Officer.
These five newly approved programs, combined with Coastline’s existing Associate of Science in Management (Applied) degree, will bring the total to six programs offered under the Coastline College Pace+ program. Together, these offerings expand academic pathways available to students pursuing competency-based, career-focused education.
